We are academic scientists, driven by traditional values: curiosity-steered research and a long-term vision of technological inventions born from scientific pursuits.
The DaCosta lab has made it our mission to better understand, diagnose and treat cancer and other diseases using molecular imaging strategies. Our preclinical and clinical research programs are funded by competitive peer-reviewed research funds from top Canadian agencies, such as Canadian Institutes of Health Research, Terry Fox Research Institute, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada, Canadian Cancer Society Research Institute, Cancer Research Society, for which we are grateful.
However, despite such support, traditional funding mechanisms can only go so far. Our lab is sincerely grateful to the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation for their continued support (PMCF) through their internationally acclaimed fundraising efforts. Your support of the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation helps to ensure advanced cancer research will continue in Canada.
