DaCosta Lab Welcomes Visiting Scientist from Tel Aviv University
During July and August, the DaCosta lab hosted Nir Livneh, a visiting medical student from Tel Aviv University as part of a collaboration with Prof. Ilan Tsarfaty’s molecular imaging lab from Israel (http://www2.tau.ac.il/nano/researcher.asp?id=aghihfeif).
Nir worked with the clinical research team, and contributed to the planning of a clinical study that will assess the ability of a hand held
autofluorescence imaging device (PRODIGI) to detect bacteria in burn wounds and predict impairements in the healing process.
Nir hopes to leverage his experience to build new academic bridges between the University of Toronto and Tel Aviv University.
