Samridhi and Maryam were invited to present a poster at the University of Toronto Undergraduate Research Students’ Association (URSA) Multidisciplinary Cancer Research Conference that took place on February 1, 2025 at the Bahen Centre for Information Technology. Their poster was titled, “Utilizing Fluorescence Intravital Imaging to Investigate Bone Marrow Microenvironment Remodeling in Acute Myeloid Leukemia,” which presented the results from their investigation of bone marrow remodeling during AML progression, affecting different cell populations and leading to relapse of the disease in mice. The conference featured Dr. Lincoln Stein and Dr. Helen Dimaras, who delivered keynote talks, alongside oral and poster presentations from undergraduate students across multiple fields, including biophysics, biomedical engineering, clinical ethics, and many more. It was a good opportunity for Samridhi and Maryam to present their compelling data, to learn from other on-going projects, and to network with other scientists and students.

Samridhi and Maryam’s poster presentation was so well received that they were voted by the conference audience members as poster presentation winners. They were selected as one of the top 6 poster presentations. Congratulations, Samridhi and Maryam!
